Traysikol
Privacy policy
Effective Date: October 13, 2026
Traysikol ("we," "our," or "us") is a tricycle fare guide. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Traysikol app uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
1. No Account Needed
You can use Traysikol without creating an account. We don't ask for your name, phone number or payment details, we don't show ads, and we don't sell any information.
2. Information That Stays on Your Phone
Your recent places, your trip history (the stops, fares and dates of trips you calculated), the area you picked, your chosen base fare, your language and how many road routes you used today are saved only on your phone. You can clear your history in the History tab, and uninstalling the app removes all of it.
3. Your Location
If you allow it, Traysikol uses your phone's location while the map is open, to start your pick-up point where you are. To name that spot, its coordinates are sent to the place services described in section 4. We don't keep your location on our servers, track it over time, or use it in the background. You can refuse or turn off location access at any time and move the pin on the map yourself.
4. Maps, Places and Addresses
The map is provided by Google Maps. View Map Route opens your stops in Google Maps, and sharing a fare includes a Google Maps link to the route. Google handles this information under its own Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
To name the spots you pin after nearby landmarks or roads, and to suggest places while you search, the coordinates of the pin and the text you type in the search are sent to place services that use OpenStreetMap data: Geoapify and Photon (by komoot). When they can't answer, your phone's own address service (Google's on Android, Apple's on iPhone and iPad) is used instead. It also finds the area you pick.
To measure a trip's distance along the roads, the coordinates of its stops are sent to a routing service: openrouteservice (HeiGIT), Geoapify or Google Maps.
These services receive only the coordinates or search text, your device's IP address and the app's name and version, and handle them under their own privacy policies.
5. Information You Choose to Send Us
- Bug reports and feedback: your message, your email address if you add one, and your app version, phone model, operating system version and language. We use these to fix problems and, if you gave your email, to reply to you.
- Custom base fares: when you save a custom fare, we receive the city or municipality and province it's for, the fare amounts, and a random code created when you installed the app. The code only tells one phone's entries apart from another's and isn't linked to you. We use these to add official fares for more places.
Please don't include personal details in your messages.
6. Crash Reports and App Security
- If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a report with technical details about the error, your phone model, operating system version, app version and a random installation identifier. We use it only to fix bugs.
- Firebase App Check uses Google Play Integrity on Android and Apple DeviceCheck on iPhone and iPad to confirm that requests come from the genuine Traysikol app, which helps keep out spam and abuse.
Like any online service, these services receive your device's IP address when the app connects to them.
7. Who Processes Your Information
Information we receive is stored with Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Crashlytics) on our behalf. We don't sell, rent or trade it, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it. The services named in this policy receive information only to provide their service to Traysikol, and we only use providers that protect it at least as well as this Privacy Policy describes.
8. How Long We Keep It
Feedback and fare entries are kept for as long as they help us improve the app. Crash reports are deleted automatically after 90 days.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can stop sending information by not using the feedback form, not saving custom fares, and turning off location access. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you can ask us to access, correct or delete information you sent us, such as feedback that includes your email address.
10. Children's Privacy
Traysikol isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Security
Information sent to us travels over encrypted connections and can only be accessed by the Traysikol team.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we'll change the Effective Date above, and the app will let you know the next time you open it.

This website
The policy above covers the Traysikol app. This website, traysikol.com, uses Google Analytics for Firebase, on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. It records the pages you view, how far you scroll and how long you stay, clicks on links to other sites (including the Google Play buttons), your approximate location (country, region and city, estimated by Google from your IP address), your device and browser type, and how you arrived. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_KTDSV1SKQM, kept for up to 2 years, and stores a Firebase installation ID in your browser; these let it recognise repeat visits. It does not collect your name, email or phone number, and Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off.
Google processes this data, possibly outside the Philippines, as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. You can opt out by blocking cookies for this site or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
